We took all three points from Bandırmaspor away in week 8 of the Trendyol 1. Lig thanks to Cebio Soukou’s 88th-minute goal, assisted by goalkeeper Cihan Topaloğlu.
In week 8 of the Trendyol 1. Lig we beat our hosts Bandırmaspor 1-0 at the Bandırma 17 Eylül Stadium and claimed the first win of the season.
Soukou scored in the 88th minute
The only goal of the match arrived two minutes from time. Cebio Soukou, who had come on for Melih Bostan in the 71st minute, found the net in the 88th. The assist came from an unusual source — our own goalkeeper, Cihan Topaloğlu.
The goal was Soukou's third of the season. Half of the six goals the team has scored in the league have come from him; the others were scored by Melih Bostan and Álex Blanco.
Efficiency over possession
The statistics show the result came from efficiency rather than control. Possession finished 32-68 in the hosts' favour, and the passing count was 289 to 608.
We still ended the match ahead on shots on target, 3-2. Bandırmaspor recorded eight off-target attempts and tested our goalkeeper only twice.

Our only booking went to Tomislav Glumac in the 10th minute. Santeri Hostikka replaced Tunahan Taşçı at half-time. Atalay Babacan came on alongside Soukou in the 71st minute, and Tobi Kosoko replaced Oğuz Yıldırım in the 83rd.
