History
Ümraniyespor Kulübü was founded in 1938 and has worn red and white ever since.
Through The Years
1938
Foundation
The club was founded in the Ümraniye district of Istanbul. Red and white were adopted on the first day and have never changed.
1938 – 1984
The Amateur Years
The club spent its first forty-six years in amateur football. These were the years in which Ümraniyespor put down roots in the district and built its supporter base.
1984 – 1987
First Professional Spell
Promotion to TFF 3. Lig in 1984 brought the club its first taste of professional football. After three seasons it returned to the amateur ranks.
1990 – 2010
Years of Ups and Downs
During these years Ümraniyespor moved between the third tier, the Bölgesel Amatör Lig and the amateur divisions, playing professional football in 1990-93 and 1999-2000.
2010 – 11
The Rise Begins
Topping its group in the Bölgesel Amatör Lig, the club returned to professional football. That season was the first step of an unbroken rise that would last a decade.
2013 – 14
TFF 3. Lig Champions
Ümraniyespor won the third tier and were promoted to TFF 2. Lig.
2015 – 16
TFF 2. Lig Champions
Champions in their second season in the second tier, the club reached TFF 1. Lig for the first time in their history.
2016 – 2022
The 1. Lig Years
The club spent six seasons in TFF 1. Lig, growing its academy, its facilities and its organisation over that period.
2021 – 22
Promotion to the Süper Lig
Under Recep Uçar the side took 70 points from 36 matches, with 21 wins, 7 draws and 8 defeats. Level on points with MKE Ankaragücü but second on head-to-head record, Ümraniyespor reached the Süper Lig for the first time in their history. Yacine Bammou was the season's leading scorer with 10 goals.
2022 – 23
The Süper Lig Season
The club played their first Süper Lig match away to Fenerbahçe on 8 August 2022, drawing 3-3. Their first win came at home on 4 November 2022, 3-1 against Alanyaspor, with two goals from Umut Nayir. The season's most striking result was a 2-1 victory away to Trabzonspor on 4 March 2023. Ümraniyespor finished 17th on 30 points and returned to TFF 1. Lig. Umut Nayir scored 17 league goals.
2023 –
Back in the 1. Lig
The club has played in TFF 1. Lig since 2023 and keeps its sights on a return to the Süper Lig.

Ümraniye City Stadium
Kulübün iç saha maçlarını oynadığı Ümraniye Belediyesi Şehir Stadyumu yaklaşık 3.500 seyirci kapasitesine sahiptir. Ümraniyespor Süper Lig'de geçirdiği sezon dahil, profesyonel liglerdeki tüm iç saha maçlarını burada oynamıştır.
Facilities & Academy
Stadyumun yanındaki tesis alanı antrenman sahaları, kapalı saha, kondisyon ve fizyoterapi birimleri, soyunma odaları ve basın toplantısı salonunu barındırır. Aynı alanda faaliyet gösteren Ümraniyespor Akademi, kulübün altyapı takımlarını yetiştirir.
