Salary: Based on qualifications and experience. Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.

**This is not a remote position. The selected candidate must work from a DCF office.**

**This position requires occasional (20% - 30%) statewide travel.**

 

What YOU will do:

The Department of Children and Families’ Office of Quality and Innovation serves as the catalyst for ensuring high levels of performance across the state to support a strong workforce and positive outcomes for Florida families. The Performance Improvement Analyst plays a key role in improving the quality-of-service delivery through structured improvement activities designed to ensure that the Department is providing optimal service to our customers, both internal and external.

The Performance Improvement Analyst will have the opportunity to help improve organizational quality, working with internal staff and external partners to develop, implement, and monitor improvement strategies aligned with state and federal goals.

How YOU will make an impact:

Leading or supporting performance improvement projects and initiatives across social service programs utilizing DMAIC, PDCA, or other strategies.

  • Analyzing program and performance data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, and sharing that information to encourage improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with program staff to develop performance metrics, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing program improvement and/or corrective action plans in response to monitoring, reviews, or performance challenges.
  • Support organizational learning by promoting best practices and training staff on improvement methods.

Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt is required for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, business management, public administration, or related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience leading cross-functional projects, such as quality improvement projects, program evaluations, or strategic planning.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience related to the Department’s child welfare system or the ability to demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of the child welfare system.
  • Three or more years of experience communicating and facilitating workgroups, deliverables or projects with staff at all levels of an organization, including frontline staff, operational managers, and senior leadership. Preference will be given to applicants who are Certified Facilitators or have a similar certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to use tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other statistical software to analyze data.
  • Capability to work at a physical office location and occasionally travel to complete work assignments and participate in in-person meetings.
