Responsibilities & Duties

Design and develop photovoltaic (PV) systems, including load analysis, equipment specifications, and electrical schematics
Conduct site assessments and evaluate shading, temperature, and weather conditions to optimize system performance
Develop project proposals and cost estimates for clients
Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including sales, installation, and electrical engineers, to ensure successful project delivery
Stay current on industry developments and regulations to continuously improve design methodology and ensure compliance with standards
Provide technical support and training to team members as needed

Qualifications & Skills

Master's degree in a related field
5+ years of experience in the solar industry
Experience with energy storage systems and microgrids
Familiarity with NEC and local building codes
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field
3+ years of experience in solar PV design and engineering
Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, and MS Office
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
