We have a current opening for a Senior Accountant. This position can sit out of our Sacramento office, Dallas office, or work remotely.

The Senior Accountant will play an integral role in supporting the accounting team by performing month end tasks, assisting with annual audits, and other duties as assigned.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with multi-state payroll tax setup.
  • Assist with job cost adjustments.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Improve current accounting and financial record keeping processes.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Maintain the general ledger and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounting and payroll inquiries.
  • Perform analysis of overhead accounts.
  • Maintain union accrual analysis, job cost adjustments, and business licenses in all cities and states in which we work.
  • Analyze financial data for forecasting department budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university.
  • 3+ years of relevant working experience in either public accounting or private industry; Experience in the construction industry preferable
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail oriented
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI

Salary Range

  • $85,000/year - $90,000/year
    • This is an exempt position.
