responsibilities:

Your Mission

• The Data Detective: You will investigate and resolve conflicting data elements by coordinating directly with anesthesia providers , surgeon offices, and facilities. Your goal? Systemic improvements that stop these issues before they start.
• The Connector: Act as the bridge between our team, facility health information management (HIM) teams, and surgeon offices to ensure smooth information flow and program implementation.
• The Cash Flow Guru: You'll manage pre-payment programs for insurance liability and self-pay procedures. You will also develop processes to expand benefit verification and pre-collection efforts across our geographic practices.
• The Tech Whiz: Partner with the Revenue Cycle Applications Manager to support user setup, training, and system access. You'll also handle file building, data mining, and report generation, specifically within MedSuite .
• The Compliance Ace: Ensure we stay on the right side of regulations by managing monthly refund requests (federal and state) and coordinating with the Finance Department on audits.
• The Project Lead: Provide administrative support to the Senior Director for project management and implementation, including preparing data-driven presentations.

qualifications:

? The Toolkit You Need

To thrive in this virtual seat, you need a specific blend of experience and skills:

• 7-10 Years of experience in medical billing, specifically within Pro-Fee Anesthesia (This is a must-have!). No Hospital Billings for anesthesia.
• 10+ Years in staff and process management, including Revenue Cycle leadership.

Technical Chops:

• Proficiency in healthcare software is a must.
• You are a Microsoft Office pro-especially in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience generating reports and analyzing data in MedSuite .

The Knowledge Base:

• In-depth understanding of professional fee billing, reimbursement, and third-party payer regulations.
• A strong grasp of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Expertise in writing policies, procedures, and business correspondence.

Soft Skills:

• High degree of self-management and personal organization (crucial for remote work!).
• Ability to communicate effectively with everyone from clinicians to patients.
• Strong problem-solving skills regarding claims, denials, and appeals.

? Day-to-Day Life

While the role is remote, and provides flexibility. you will still be the heartbeat of the operation. You'll coordinate virtual meetings for training and support, assist with staff training, and when work volumes dictate, you might jump in to perform account/claim follow-up yourself.
