We are looking for an enthusiastic Phlebotomist to help us reach our goals. Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Phlebotomist performs blood draws on patients who need diagnostic testing. The Phlebotomist is supervised by and works with the RNs to achieve timely pre-procedure blood draws and testing. The Phlebotomist must have interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, families, team members, physicians and ancillary staff. Job Summary and Qualifications + You will demonstrate knowledge of physiology and function of the venous system of the human body, and collection techniques used to draw blood from patients. + You will collect blood samples from patients per laboratory policy and procedure. + You will decide the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient. + You will practice proper patient identification. + You will label blood vials according to established procedures including use of automated patient identification systems. What qualifications you will need: + High School diploma or equivalent + Completion of a certified phlebotomy course (strongly preferred) + Demonstrated phlebotomy experience + Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors + Good phlebotomy, computer, and communication skills TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 150 bed hospital that has provided high-quality health care for over 40 years.
