This is a remote position with travel to the client sites. The PCI Inspector - Safety Manager is responsible for leading safety efforts, coordination, reporting requirements, and day-to-day occupational safety for our POWER Constructors Business Unit. This individual participates in the development, management, oversight as well as recording, tracking, and reporting of safety associated with PCI field activities. The successful candidate should demonstrate: + Mindset to approach safety duties with a balanced respect for compliance and business needs + Understanding, proficiency, and passion for occupational safety + Ability to gain the trust of staff & management + Collaborative, responsive & consensus-building work style The successful candidate will work with the Corporate Safety Team as well as Field Services leadership to develop, implement, promote, enforce, and ensure that safety programs align with corporate requirements and client requirements. **Responsibilities include:** **Field Services Division** + Perform safety evaluations, inspections, and audits of field staff & activities + Generate and review Job Hazard Analyses, Tailboard Reports, + Review client safety policies & procedures to implement and train staff on client-specific requirements + Approve, order, review, maintain, and distribute PPE where needed + Assist with client safety questionnaires, audits, and surveys + Provide general safety oversight, guidance, and ongoing safety training to field staff as needed **Corporate Safety Department** + Receive and carry out safety directives from corporate safety management + Develop, maintain, and update safety policy & procedure + Attend regular meetings between corporate and division safety leadership + Lead and coordinate accident/incident investigations with corporate safety management + Maintain safety certifications + Respond to field safety questions, concerns, and directives + Submit periodic safety audits, reports, metrics, evaluations, and inspections for corporate safety review **Required Education/Experience:** + Safety Credential (e.g. CSP, CHST, CSHM, CIH, BS, MS, MPH) + Safety experience associated with transmission/distribution lines, ROW, electrical systems, and construction activities + Safety experience associated with field environmental hazards and work activity (e.g. dense vegetation, bugs/ticks, extreme weather, working alone, working near/over water, etc.) + Certification in related occupational safety field (e.g. OSHA 500/501, 10/30/10 ET&D) + 7+ years of relevant work experience + Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
