Location: St. Louis, MissouriJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $30 - 35 per hourDo you have a strong attention to detail and a love for impeccable grammar? We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Proofreader to join our client's team in St. Louis.In this key support role, you will be responsible for meticulously proofreading all consumer-targeted communication materials, including packaging, promotional collateral, and digital content generated by our production and design groups. Your strong accuracy, keen eye, and positive, can-do attitude will be essential to ensuring all communications are flawless and legally compliant.Responsibilities Accuracy Check: Verify all content against the original approved copy. Grammar & Spelling: Ensure perfect grammar, spelling, and adherence to house style and typographic conventions. Compliance: Verify proper use of trademarks, coupon codes, expiration dates, ingredient statements, and all legal mandatories. Regulatory Adherence: Apply current Federal Trade Commission (FTC) packaging requirements and ensure all documents comply with current industry and legal standards. Layout Verification: Confirm correct size, type specifications, and proper placement of copy on the layout. Collaboration: Exercise capable communication and good judgment when interacting with creative teams (copywriters, art directors, designers), account managers, and internal client teams (Legal, Regulatory, Project Management, Marketing). Qualifications: Three plus years professional experience in proofreading, copywriting or editing creative content / Agency experience preferred. Critical knowledge of spelling, editing, grammar. Fastidious attention to detail.
