Job Description

LaSalle Network is in search of an Ocean Export Coordinator for one of our established, industry-leading clients within freight forwarding. This role involves managing the end-to-end export operations process, ensuring seamless coordination with clients, carriers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ocean export procedures, documentation, and compliance regulations, as well as a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Ocean Export Coordinator Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage all aspects of ocean export shipments from origin to destination, including booking cargo, preparing documentation, and arranging transportation
Ensure accuracy and compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements and company policies
Prepare and review export documentation such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices and packing lists
Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of shipments and resolve any issues that arise during transit
Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and internal teams, addressing inquiries and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and customer service, to support business objectives and address client needs
Maintain accurate records and files for all export transactions, ensuring proper documentation for audits and compliance reviews
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the export operations workflow

Ocean Export Coordinator Requirements:

1+ years of customer service experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, carriers and internal teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook

Pay and Benefits

$20-$21/hr pending experience
