Emergency Department and Wound Care Medical Scribe – Part Time or Full Time

Synergy Medical Concierge Services is urgently hiring motivated individuals interested in launching or advancing a career in healthcare. This role is ideal for pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing students, recent graduates, or anyone seeking high-quality clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting.

You will work directly with a wound care surgeon and may be cross-trained to support our Emergency Department team. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain direct patient care exposure, develop documentation skills, and build relationships with physicians who routinely provide strong letters of recommendation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document patient encounters in the electronic health record for a wound care surgeon.
• Accurately chart histories, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Ensure documentation and billing compliance.
• Assist with patient flow by relaying information between clinicians, staff, and patients.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
• Support quality assurance and chart review processes.

Requirements:

• Some college required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or a clinical career path.
• Ability to type 60 words per minute or faster.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt in a clinical setting.
• Biology, health sciences, or related coursework preferred.

Schedule:
Office hours (subject to change):

• Monday: 8:30am–5pm (Andrus)
• Tuesday: 9am–12pm (Boyce Thompson)
• Wednesday: 12:30pm–5pm (Andrus)
• Thursday: 1pm–5pm (Boyce Thompson)
• Friday: 9am–5pm (Boyce Thompson)

Locations:

• Boyce Thompson: 1088 N Broadway, Yonkers, NY
• Andrus Pavilion: 967 N Broadway, Yonkers, NY

Compensation:

• 18 dollars per hour during training
• 19 dollars per hour upon successful completion of training
