Manager of Store Safety Location Chesapeake, VA (Greenbrier East area) : Manager, Retail Store Safety and Compliance The Manager, Retail Store Safety and Compliance works to develop and implement comprehensive regulatory compliance policies and procedures for both Dollar Tree and Family Dollar retail stores. This role also focuses on driving the changes necessary to develop a culture of safety in all stores. The role also identifies and analyzes data and trends to ensure the Company's safety and health programs are comprehensive and effective. KEY DUTIES

• Drive the changes necessary to develop a culture of safety in all stores.
• Develop policies, procedures and a comprehensive implementation strategy for all identified standards that impact store operations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive incident reporting and investigation procedure for store operations.
• Provide periodic reporting to store operations to improve safety culture, reduce risk, and increase awareness and compliance.
• Manage and leverage current field structure to support store operations in maintaining a safety-first culture, as well as compliance with applicable standards. Improve communication regarding trends and opportunities for a consistent message across the Company.
• Review and update all applicable position information (s, task lists, audit forms, and weekly updates) to include all components related to current and future risks and to reflect dual banner responsibilities.
• Develop regulatory compliance support structure.
• Monitor regulatory updates from agencies that directly impact store operations (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration).
• Analyze regulatory changes and contribute to strategies to update applicable programs, procedures, and or policies in store operations.
• Assist with special projects that impact the success of the Company's safety and health programs and compliance function.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5 - 7 years in Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Health; or equivalent combination of education and retail experience (store, distribution center, corporate levels) Bachelor's Degree (BA)
