The General Maintenance Worker’s primary function is to assist with the organization and maintenance of the facility and yard’s.

Job Duties:

1. Must follow instruction from Lead(s) Supervisor(s) Manager(s).
2. Hammering, power and manual nailing of various wood types.
3. Sweeping, cleaning, blowing, and removing debris from walkways, storage areas, parking lots, etc. both inside and outside the facility.
4. Pallet repair –Assembling products together per company standards.
5. Communicate any issues that arise effectively.
6. Safely operate machines while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
7. Use of assorted cutting saws and electric handheld and manual hand tools.
8. Inventory restocking and inventory control when needed.
9. Organizing inventory within the yard or storage area as needed.
10. A willingness to work safely indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work 10-hour shift Monday-Thursday.
• Must be flexible – OT and weekend are required as needed.
• Must be willing to work within multiple areas as needed.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to operate a manual/electric hand truck in and between multiple departments.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year experience reading a tape measure.
• Must pass tape measure exam.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements – Essential

• Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
• Must be able to stand/sit and walk in one place for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lean or bend over for periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks max 2 hours)
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must have good eye/hand coordination.
• Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks).
• Must be able to work safely indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
