Summary Amazing Childcare and Learning Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education with a focus on kindergarten readiness. Our program utilizes a state-approved curriculum and offers monthly enrichment activities. We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher Assistant to support our lead teachers and contribute to the growth and development of our 3 and 4-year-old students.
Position Summary: The Preschool Teacher Assistant will assist the Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. This role involves supporting daily activities, preparing materials, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about early childhood education.
Duties - Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing a dynamic and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Support daily classroom activities, including lesson plans, arts and crafts, playtime, and other learning experiences.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist with the preparation of materials and supplies needed for daily activities.
- Provide individual attention and support to children as needed to facilitate learning and development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all children feel valued and supported.
- Communicate effectively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Assist with the assessment and documentation of children’s progress and development.
- Participate in monthly enrichment activities and special events.
- Engage with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child’s progress and daily activities.
- Follow all state and local regulations and standards for early childhood education.
Requirements - Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- An understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, must have before starting
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Nice To Haves - CDA
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or a related field.
