The Corporate Controller will play a key leadership role in maintaining the integrity of financial operations, strengthening internal controls, optimizing cash management, and driving operational and strategic alignment between accounting and business operations. This position is designed as a succession role, with the expectation that the successful candidate will assume the CFO position upon the retirement of the incumbent. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and tax functions for all Gabrielli Truck Sales dealerships, leasing entities, and affiliated operations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of consolidated financial statements and compliance with GAAP, regulatory, and tax requirements.
  • Establish and monitor key financial performance metrics, providing analysis and insight to senior leadership comparing results against budgets, forecasts, and industry benchmarks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes that support both day-to-day operations and annual external audits.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to assess financial implications of strategic initiatives, including dealership expansion, acquisitions, and capital investments.
  • Lead financial due diligence, evaluation, negotiation, and integration of acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing strategies to support growth, liquidity, and profitability objectives.
  • Evaluate and enhance the finance organization structure, implementing best practices, process efficiencies, and technology improvements.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team capable of supporting a complex, multi-entity dealership group.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and HR to design and administer incentive compensation programs that align with company goals and performance targets.
  • Provide analytical leadership and forward-looking financial insights to drive informed business decisions.
  • Maintain a hands-on leadership style, engaging in both strategic and operational financial management when necessary.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and accountability consistent with Gabrielli Truck Sales’ long-standing reputation.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA strongly preferred. An MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including consolidated accounting management within a multi-entity or dealership environment.
  • Proven expertise in financial control, planning, reporting, and treasury management.
  • Experience with centralized accounting systems and dealership management systems (DMS) such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Karmak preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting using Excel or FP&A tools.
  • Experience in private equity, high-growth, or acquisition-driven organizations considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams, resolving conflict, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management, lenders, auditors, and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, high integrity, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Prior experience in a multi-location, multi-state dealership group (truck, automotive, or equipment) preferred.
