Job Title: Chemical Process EngineerJob Description
Manage and maintain all plating and chemical surface finishing processes and related activities. Ensure continued compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Establish and achieve planned performance levels with a primary emphasis on continuous improvement, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing. Promptly report any variance from plans and recommend corrective actions.
Responsibilities
Perform hands-on surface finishing operations when appropriate, such as during the development or improvement of a process.
Prepare, institute, and sustain procedures and controls for all processes employed in the plating lab.
Possess a comprehensive knowledge of plating and related processes.
Ensure the safe operation of all surface-finishing processes.
Mentor personnel in proper setup and process procedures for cleaning and plating using correct plating methods, measuring devices/techniques, and process control methods.
Solve and/or participate in the resolution of issues related to processes, documentation, plating, and quality problems.
Participate in the development of new processes and the upgrading of current processes.
Investigate and recommend changes to and additions of equipment and processes.
Help manage waste streams and effectively treat and store hazardous waste accumulated from the plating process.
Establish safe working and housekeeping procedures and promptly correct hazardous situations.
Participate in and take proactive roles in ISO and Lean Manufacturing methodologies for problem prevention, corrective action, identification, and solution verification.
Monitor process operating parameters and correct deviations from established set points.
Revise process work instructions as needed and write new work instructions to support process changes or improvements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
